Parenting Against White Supremacy (PAWS) is a comprehensive learning experience designed to equipping Black families with the tools and knowledge necessary to constructively build resilience against the pervasive effects of racism and white supremacy in society.

black parents learn, design, and implement new behaviors that will increase their resilience agains the impact of white supremacy and decrease the chances of family dysfunction.

Interdisciplinary Approach  

PAWS wraps the best research-based practices from psychology, neuroscience, financial literacy, and family science to anchor Black parents in the daily guided behaviors that encourages healing of parents’s past and development children’s future.

 

Internal family practices center the behaviors and techniques of wellness and growth within the family unit.

External family practices challenges and confronts systems that impact the whole family.

Guided instruction and Coaching

PAWS is designed to be engaging, reflective, social, and healing. The curriculum focuses on personal and community transformation, with guided support from family coaches grounded in Black family life. Each workshop provides a one-of-a-kind experience, guiding participants through personal family journeys, historical insights, lived narratives, and practical strategies for growth.
